Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania)
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is a public research university located in Kaunas, Lithuania. On February 16, 1922 it was instituted by the government as the first independent higher education institution within Lithuania.
Currently KTU has almost 3000 academic employees and is the largest and oldest technological university in LT, and one of the largest in the Baltic States. Worldwide KTU ranks in the top 4% of universities. KTU offers 146 study programs for its 10 200 enrolled students of whom 540 are international students and 320 are PhD candidates.
The university has always made efforts to adopt the new technologies in their training courses, which will enrich the project consortium with the needed expertise in how to elaborate an innovative curriculum that will stay in line with the cutting-edge practices and technologies in the sector.
Further, KTU has cooperation agreements with more than 350 higher education institutions in 50 countries of the world. Memorandums of Understanding, Student and staff exchange and “Erasmus+” inter-institutional agreements allow the University to develop strategic partnerships with foreign institutions in studies and research, and for our staff and students to go for academic exchange.
